The former head of the Serpukhov district, Alexander Shestun, whom the leadership of the penal colony in Bezhetsk sent to a punishment cell for 13 days, handed over a letter to his relatives. In it, he talks about his condition and discusses the possible reasons for what happened.

Shestun had to undergo a month-long rehabilitation after undergoing operations in February. His stitches were removed just a week and a half ago. Instead, he received a punishment cell.

This time the reason for sending him to the punishment cell was the fact that he… 6.30 am sat down on the bed.

There may be several reasons for continuing pressure on Shestun in the colony. Firstly, the leadership of the penitentiary institution is clearly embarrassed and even frightened by the anti-war position of the politician, which he openly declares. Secondly, Shestun continues to write about torture and murder in the Rzhev colony (his article “Act, Villainy,” published by the Cheka-OGPU did not pass the eyes of the heads of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Tver Region). Thirdly, he writes complaints against the former head of the Tver pre-trial detention center-1, Dmitry Lebedev, who is now himself under arrest as part of a criminal case about torture and extortion of testimony.
Probably, the leadership of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Tver Region does not like this activity of Shestun, and placing a person in a punishment cell who has not recovered from the operation could become a cruel hint for the rebellious prisoner to calm down.
