Five employees of the FSB Directorate for Moscow and the Moscow Region were detained as part of a case involving a bribe of 5 billion rubles. This is all a continuation of the criminal and corruption epic around the Merlion company. Sources of the Cheka-OGPU report that in connection with the same story, the special services are showing interest in the former director of the Russian Federal Migration Service, Konstantin Romodanovsky, who was once close to Putin.
Last week, the Basmanny Court arrested Romodanovsky’s son, Sergei, who for a long time headed the Investigation Department for the North-Western District of Moscow. He, along with his colleagues in the Investigative Committee, is accused of extorting and receiving a bribe in the amount of 1 billion rubles in connection with the story around Merlion.
As our source notes, in connection with this story, interest arose in Konstantin Romodanovsky. His son has been under potential arrest in connection with this case for more than three years, but Konstantin Romadanovsky managed to “let everything go,” for this he even personally bowed to the head of the ICR, Bastrykin, as a result, instead of being “jailed,” the son simply resigned from the Main Investigative Directorate of the ICR Moscow.
