Earlier, the operator warned users about raising services.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation launched an investigation against PJSC MTS due to an unreasonable increase in prices for mobile services by 8% in March-April, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.
The department emphasized that this affected more than 30 million subscribers of the company.
The FAS came to the conclusion that the increase does not correspond to the cost of costs and damages the interests of subscribers.
MTS argues that an increase in the monthly fee was justified by an increase in expenses for payment for the spectrum, equipment maintenance and infrastructure development. The company provided the department with confirmation of the need for this increase.
Recall that in April, some subscribers were warned in MTS about increasing the subscriber fee by tariffs. The report said that the monthly fee is increasing by 45 rubles.
From May 1, the company also increased the cost of home Internet and renting a router by 64 rubles.
