Ex-lawyer Vadim Lyalin escaped from custody “solely in connection with the fulfillment of the terms of the pre-trial agreement,” this was announced in the Basmanny Court during the extension of his sentence. That is, Lyalin literally accused of complicity and incitement to escape the employees of the FSB M Directorate and investigators of the Investigative Committee carrying out operational support in the criminal case.

Lyalin was arrested in April for fraud against top managers of a large IT distributor Merlion, from whom he took 2 million euros for resolving the issue of releasing them from custody.

As previously reported by the Cheka-OGPU, Lyalin concluded a pre-trial settlement and, through his friends from Directorate M, agreed with the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee on preferences for necessary and interesting testimony. After investigative actions with investigator Romanenko, he was allowed to go home, see his family, etc. And on September 2, he did not leave the house where his family lives. How he left is a mystery to many. Lyalin was caught only 2 days later. Lyalina was slapped with an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for escape, and investigator Romanenko was removed from the case. Deputy Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Pavel Goryachev was given a disciplinary officer, and his receipt of the rank of general is still up in the air.

It now turns out that the escape was carried out as part of a pre-trial agreement.

In addition, as the Cheka-OGPU found out, two days before Lyalin’s escape, according to his testimony and as part of the same fraud case, businessman Dmitry Noev, a man with connections in law enforcement agencies, who now holds the post of commercial director at an LLC, was placed under house arrest “Megapolis”.

The Basmanny court extended the preventive measure for both until March 15, 2023.
