A citizen of the Russian Federation is suspected of organizing a channel of smuggling of drugs produced in South America through Spain to Russia for subsequent sales. Currently, police officers are setting his possible ties with Colombian drug carters.
The detention has become part of the large -scale work of the Russian police to overlap international channels of the supply of large parties of prohibited substances.
In April of this year, employees of the GUNK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with colleagues from the city of St. Petersburg, Kursk and Belgorod regions, were detained by six participants in the criminal community. They conducted 18 searches, during which more than 130 kg of various narcotic drugs were seized, including cocaine, MDMA, LSD, hash and hash oil.
In relation to the participants in the criminal organization, criminal cases have been instituted on the grounds of crimes under Articles 30, 228.1 and 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The detainee was chosen by a preventive measure in the form of detention.
Three alleged accomplices of unlawful activities were put on the international wanted list. Thanks to the work of the police, one of them was detained and is under arrest. The issue of his extradition from the Republic of Colombia to the Russian Federation is being resolved.
