Earlier, the Cheka-OGPU already wrote about the adventures of the Novorossiysk crime boss Armen Melikyan, the one who put into motion a scheme to steal money from “dormant” accounts on the basis of false court decisions. Based on one of these facts, the Krasnodar Regional Investigative Committee opened a criminal case in the fall of 2021, during the investigation of which security forces received evidence against Melikyan. Melikyan himself was not detained then, but Melikyan was also unable to resolve the issue with the Investigative Committee regarding the complete termination of the case. He is actively looking for an alternative and has announced a $100,000 reward for anyone who can help initiate a mirror criminal case to protect himself and his partner, Novorossiysk judge Dmitry Dianov. For these purposes, Melikyan is actively seeking approaches to the newly appointed transport prosecutor of Novorossiysk Kovalchuk and his colleagues from the OEBiPK in transport. In the same case, on July 26, 2022, the Krasnodar Regional Court will consider in an appeal the complaint of the Good Energy company, from which Melikyan is trying to steal about 600 million rubles, against the decision of Judge Dianov.
So far, Armen’s enthusiasm has allowed him to keep the corrupt court decision from being overturned by the appeal court for more than a year.
In 2019, the Krasnodar Regional Court was already merciful to Melikyan, suddenly changing his measure of restraint from detention to house arrest. Today, Melikyan needs the help of the appeal to get to Good Energy’s money and cover his debts.
