According to the Russian prime minister, marketplaces and other electronic commerce services are gaining more and more demand. Therefore, we need general, understandable and transparent rules that regulate their activities in the territory of all countries of the Union. The officials of the official quote “Vedomosti”.

In addition, the head of the government recalled that at the end of last year, the organizations made changes to the Customs Code that simplified the purchase of goods on Internet platforms of the EAEU countries and their subsequent design. Now the responsible persons of the organization will have to agree on an international agreement on a unified customs transit system. This is necessary so that other states can also connect to an already existing union system.

First of all, this should facilitate the transportation of goods, make it possible to apply a common transit declaration, monitor the movement of goods using navigation seals, and also guarantees the payment of customs payments.

Earlier it became known that in 2023 two Russian marketplace Ozon and Wildberries at once-for the first time entered the TOP-10 of the largest world sites in the number of active sessions.

Back in May, during a speech in the State Duma, Mikhail Mishustin said that now the trading turnover through marketplaces in Russia reaches 8 trillion. rubles, and their work needs to be adjusted. But do it carefully and carefully. As the prime minister explained, buyers have many questions to such sites, whose activities are not transparent, like the work of ordinary stores.

Among the main problems are frequent changes in the terms of the contracts, a commission for the return of the goods, and the restrictions of sellers. Note that over the past two years, many scandals have occurred in this area. The trials of the Wildberries Marketplace sellers are known with the leadership of this structure – people complained precisely on changes in the terms of the contract and other difficulties.

Among other major incidents – a fire in a warehouse of the same Wildberries in Shushara, about which the owner of the company Tatyana Bakalchuk was even called to the Investigative Committee.

Recall also that in 2022, large marketplaces and their sellers agreed to comply with a number of norms and standards, including the refusal of unilateral changes in the conditions and mandatory participation in the promotions. After that, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation created a special commission that will follow compliance with the agreements. If the market participants ignore its solutions, the industry can wait for hard state regulation.
