During the investigation of the murder of the 54-year-old sausage king Vladimir Marugov, a hostage was found, chained to the bed. On the night of November 1 to 2, 2020, several people in masks penetrated into the bathroom, which was separate in the household, tied Marugov and his civilian wife. Then they began to demand the transfer of funds stored in the house. At some point, the woman managed to free herself and run away. She immediately turned to law enforcement agencies. As a result, one of the suspects was detained. It turned out to be Alexander Mauridi born in 1971, living in Moscow. The suspect refused to testify. However, the investigation found that it was he who acquired a crossbow in one of the city’s stores and directly participated in the attack on the entrepreneur. The search for his accomplice continues. During the search conducted at the place of residence of the suspect in the apartment in the city of Moscow, a pensioner was discovered, chained handcuffs to the bed and a man watching him. The pensioner said that the suspect holds him and extracts his apartments located in the city of Moscow. To clarify all the circumstances, the man who was together with the pensioner was taken to the investigation department. His role and involvement in crimes committed against a pensioner is established. The investigation has reason to believe that the suspect is involved in a number of crimes related to fraudulent actions with the apartments of single citizens in the city of Moscow and the Moscow Region.
