After Russiaâs attack on Ukraine, Western countries began expelling Russian diplomats suspected of espionage and undercover work en masse.
Russia claims that there were no grounds for expulsion. But if you look at the biographies of diplomats from the Belgian blacklist, you get a completely different impression.
For example, embassy adviser Sergei Kuksov served in military unit 54726, part of the GRU. In 2005, this part was reformatted into the Center for Research of the Military Potential of Foreign Countries â all the information about the state of foreign armies, collected by people like Kuksov, flows there.
Another adviser to the embassy â Sergei Zemdeldeltsev issued a residence permit at the Military Diplomatic Academy (VDA) on the street. Peopleâs Militia in Moscow. The VDA trains military intelligence personnel to work abroad.
