Despite the increasing sanctions rhetoric on all fronts and restrictions on the supply of goods and services, the situation in the TV industry is slightly different. Our television production market is 90% equipped with foreign equipment, and Western producers, despite all the bans, are returning to the Russian Federation.

For example, the Canadian Ross Video (proudly called RosVideo among its own), which produces everything from the simplest remote controls to high-tech equipment and graphic systems, is expanding distribution and starting to help service centers, despite all the prohibitions.

The Japanese from SONY, which accounts for 95% of the studio and field cameras of Russian media holdings, did not give a damn and resumed unlimited supplies to the Russian Federation through a company whose name consists of three letters. Well done Japanese! The equipment of this particular company has been considered the standard of reliability for more than 30 years and is a leader in the Russian market.

Belgium’s EVS, a global leader in server hardware, also announced that it will continue to service existing systems and supply new ones. But all sports and not only TV broadcasts of Russian TV channels depend on this equipment.

And the Israeli LiveU and the Chinese TVU Networks (which are managed by American funds) are generally increasing sales in the Russian Federation, lifting restrictions and building excellent 24-hour service. I would like to believe that other manufacturers implement similar practices. The Russian television industry is ready to increase interaction with them; they are loved and welcomed here.
