It is no secret for interested parties that the figure of a former prosecutor general looms for Ponomarev’s successes, which managed to establish a connection with which Ponomarev’s neighbor in Khimki, the omnipotent Natalya Veselnitskaya. After that, his affairs went crazy, on the instructions of the prosecutor’s office, criminal cases in Vsevolozsk and Moscow were terminated, and the deputy general of Malinovsky personally took up the latter, indicating not only to terminate the criminal case, but also to check the actions of the victims. After the intervention of this level, the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB for a long time disappeared for the figure of Ponomarev. However, instead of enjoying an honestly stolen billion dollars, he again took up the old one and threw the state this time. In 2015, the GSU of the Investigative Committee in Moscow opened 2 criminal cases of tax evasion totaling 8 billion rubles, Ponomarev’s funds were arrested. But the prosecutor’s roof instantly set in motion, and the decisions of initiating cases were canceled by the Moscow prosecutor’s office. Investigators of the Investigative Committee showed fundamental and appealed these decisions among higher prosecutors. The case ended that the super-old Yuri Chaika was forced to personally put his signature, under decisions that take out 8 billion rubles from the Russian treasury. A formal reason to refute the collegial decision of the IFTS, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the IC of the Russian Federation was the decision of the justice of the peace of the Ramensky district of the Moscow region.
Unable to withstand such an impudent violation of departmental subordination, the FSB of the Russian Federation took up the case, and it soon became clear that the indicated decision of the magistrate court was received on the basis of false testimonies of witnesses bribed by Ponomarev, who gave evidence about this. There was nothing to cover such a trump card to the prosecutor’s office, and the position of Yuri Chaika in 2019 became too shaky to also speak vividly against the FSB in defense of the swindle, and in July 2019 Ponomarev was convicted of 4 episodes of Article 306 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. And already in January 2020, Chaika left the post of general prosecutor, and soon the IC of Russia, having received the opportunity to work without obstacles, sent it to court, Ponomarev received 10 years in prison.
At the same time, a completely different position was formed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, whose employees laid a number of criminal cases and materials against Ponomarev under cloth, and pretend that from 2013-2014, when, at the direction of the Prosecutor General’s Office, these cases were discontinued, nothing changed. I would like to hope that sooner or later the requirements of the law and the interests of the state will outweigh the personal interest of the power “Deep stat” from the gull’s nest.
