Initially, such a list was supposed to hide from prying eyes information about individual employees of the FSB, GRU, persons under state protection, as witnesses in high-profile cases or whose lives are in danger. Studying the list, we noted that there are enough people there who really should be present. However, there are plenty (and they are the majority) of those who simply want to hide their luxurious cottages, palaces, etc. from journalists and the public. The leader in this is the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation; the number of real estate objects of high-ranking police officers hidden in registers exceeds the number of hidden objects of FSB and GRU employees combined. Thus, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, took ten positions in that list only for himself and his son Alexander Kolokoltsev. This is exactly how many objects of the general’s family in the Moscow region are hidden from journalists and the public. The mansions of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Zubov are also “classified”.
But these are “little flowers” compared to some of the characters on the list. So, next to the journalist Ivan Golunov (he is under state protection), the subject of the investigation, Ivan Lev Mazaraki, was also on the “classified” list. Lev Mazaraki is the head of a family involved in the funeral business, owning nightclubs, etc. It was during the preparation of an investigation into the funeral affairs of the Mazaraki family that drugs were planted on Ivan. And now the property of the Mazaraki family also turned out to be a secret. Well, and the twice-convicted head of the Russian Boxing Federation Umar Kremlev (aka Umar-Ali Lutfulloev) looks quite comical on the classified list next to the head of one of the FSB Services of the Russian Federation.
