“Firing for a wedding motorcade”
“Yesterday, on June 21, the Petersburg governor received a report of the Peterhof police officer about the extraordinary attack of peasants on the wedding motorcade.
On the way from the village of Globitsa, after the wedding, a rich wedding motorcade with the newlywed was returned: the son of a local wealthy peasant Vasily Dmitrievich Teenkov and girl Paulina Afopasieva.
Young Paulina is a beauty. All local guys looked after her, but the beauties could not defeat her heart. When the local guys learned about Paulina’s engagement, they called to the groom’s explanation and invited him to leave Paulin.
The groom answered this with mocking contempt. Then the guys decided to take revenge on the opponent. They ambushed in a dense forest of the Voronino estate. They sat in the ambush: Sergey Surukhaev, Sergey Antonov, Ivan Surukhaev, Stepan Leontyev, Nikolai Yakovlev, Alexander Ambrazov and Ivan Egorov. They armed themselves with revolvers and settled on one side. 
Waited for a long time. When the motorcade caught up with an ambush, the guys opened a random fir of revolvers. They shot both the newlyweds and the guests. After the first shot, the coachman hit the horses and rushed past.
One of the chafers, the peasant Semyon Nikitin, was armed with a revolver, and therefore decided to join the battle with the attackers. Having suspended the horse, he shot and the first bullet struck one of them – Ivan Surukhaev.
The latter was wounded on the right shoulder and fell. After that, all the attackers were shifted by the law enforcement officers. The crews of the wedding procession were broken in several places.
