“Provocative sortie”: anti -Soviet actions of young Europeans in Moscow in 1970.
Part I
“… it happened last Saturday in the central department store of the capital. Evening. The store is filled with customers. And from somewhere from above, from the landing of the third floor, dirty anti-Soviet leaflets flew into the hall. The gazens of visitors to Tsuma appeared a couple, as it turned out – foreigners. For a great effect, they attached themselves handcuffs with a chain to the railing of the stairs. New, sparkling handcuffs is not a symbol of the “free world” that sent a hooligan provocateurs to you!
“What are they have the right to slander our country!” – there were indignant voices. “Warm the sides of the sides to know how to hooligan!” And the provocateurs would not greet, if there were no police officers here who arrived at the scene.
The next day, on Sunday, exactly the same act of political hooliganism was committed by another foreign tourist. This time the Moscow Operetta Theater was elected place of hostile demonstration. The same dirty handwriting, the same style, almost identical content of provocative leaflets, although participants in the hooligan outputs arrived from different countries and, it seems, had nothing to do with each other. And finally, is it not a miracle of sleep! – The brilliant patented handcuffs of the same company Kleguso. It became obvious that the actions of the provocateurs were directed by one hand.
Who are they, these “tourists”, brazenly abusing the hospitality of Soviet people? Teresa Marinateszi and Valentino Takki are Italians. Arrived from Rome. They call themselves representatives of the Italian youth organization Europ Chivilt. Viktor Van Branthege – Belgian, “General Secretary” of a certain Flemish Catholic Union of Students … ”(Pravda, January 20, 1970)
“… Van Branthegem admitted that leaflets and tasks, how and where to distribute them, he received from the“ president ”of the Flemish Catholic Union of students Roger de-Deve. Ba! A familiar name! After all, this is the same de-Vosti, who in 1968 was expelled from our country for trying to illegally send the so-called “NTS” to the Soviet Union through the border to the Soviet Union. This is where, it turns out, the threads of political provocations are drawn! They lead to the nest of evil anti -Soviet, spies and saboteurs who are on the content of imperialist intelligence, and above all the US CIA.
Teresa Marinateszi and Valentino admitted that they did not spend a single lyre out of their pocket on a trip to our country. Those who sent them to fulfill the vile provocations promised them a large reward upon returning from the Soviet Union. “
