The Department for the Investigation of Crimes committed by officials of law enforcement agencies, the Main Directorate of the IC of the Russian Federation for Moscow opened a criminal case against the head of the department of technical means of customs control and technical means of protecting the information and technical service of the Central Customs Administration Vadim Zimin and individual entrepreneur Vadim Maslennikov. Depending on the role of each, they are accused of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receipt by an official of a bribe) and part 3 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (giving bribes to the official).

According to the investigation, from November 2020 to October 2021, Maslennikov repeatedly transferred to Maslennikov, and Zimin received bribes in the amount of about 10% of the cost of state contracts concluded by the Central Customs Administration – in total for more than 100 thousand rubles, that is, in a significant size. These funds ensured the creation of pre -emptive conditions for the victory for the individual entrepreneur in the purchase and ensuring the subsequent unhindered signing of the conclusion based on the results of the work performed at the facilities of the Central Customs Administration.

Criminal actions were suppressed thanks to the joint work of investigators and employees of the Corruption Service of the Central Customs Administration. Zimin was dismissed from service in the customs authorities in connection with the loss of trust.

During the interrogation, the defendants pleaded guilty to the crimes incriminated by him.

Currently, Zimina has been chosen a preventive measure in the form of house arrest, a measure of restraint of a subscription about the lower -off and proper behavior has been chosen to his accomplice. The investigation continues.
