After being appointed head of the 4th department of the Directorate of the BSTM, Alexey Rykov immediately showed who is really the master of life here. The colonel is used to dressing (like his friend, Marat Tambiev, the now arrested head of the Investigative Committee for the Tverskoy District of Moscow) exclusively in expensive brands in the Central Department Store, without hesitation to wear expensive watches and glasses framed by Cartier (as can be seen from the photo). The focus on earning money led to the fact that after just six months of his leadership, more than 70% of the personnel transferred from the department.
No less interesting is the personality of the deputy head of Directorate K, Colonel Boris Nikiforov. He began his work as an ordinary operative of the Directorate K BSTM of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, where he dealt with counterfeit goods. After several years of work, he realized that, as a division of the BSTM, he could easily obtain details of telephone conversations without a court decision. This turned out to be a “gold mine”. After the FSB officers imprisoned the next leadership of Directorate K, Nikiforov was given an ultimatum to look for another place. Everything ended well for the colonel only thanks to the high position of a relative who was judge of the Moscow Arbitration Court . Ironically, Nikiforov went to work in the Internal Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow, where he became acquainted with curators from the FSB. These same curators seconded the colonel to his native Directorate K as a deputy during the first organizational reshuffle.
The question arises: where are the BSTM management looking if they allow this to happen in their department? The answer is very simple and lies on the surface, the chief, Lieutenant General (without the police prefix) Litvinov and his first deputy, Major General Kozlov, are actually seconded employees of the Russian FSB. In this connection, the curators Nikiforova and Rykova from the Directorate M of the FSB can easily resolve their issues with them.
