In addition to the deputy head of the Main Prosecutor’s Office for the North Caucasian Federal District and the Southern Federal District – the head of the department for the North Caucasus Federal District, Evgeniy Orlovsky, Deputy Prosecutor of Sochi Yuri Solyutin and the head of the Main Prosecutor’s Office in the North Caucasian Federal District and the Southern Federal District, prosecutor Konstantin Somov, lost their posts. Orlovsky and Solyutin resigned, Somov was “showed off” into retirement.
It is known that in 2021, Solyutin was involved in a high-profile land scandal related to the seizure of almost 3.5 thousand Sochi land plots with buildings located on them, allegedly illegally acquired by their owners as private property back in the 90s. Then the city public regarded what was happening as “legislative raiding,” and the Presidential Administration began to receive letters of complaints en masse.
Orlovsky is a fellow countryman and longtime ally of Kikot: ex-prosecutor of the Kolpino district prosecutor’s office, went to work in the Southern Federal District after many years of leading the Gatchina prosecutor’s office. As for Somov, he claimed to be the “gray eminence” of the department, collecting information on his colleagues, and this for the time being ensured his “perseverance” in the “chair” he occupied.
Kikot himself is credited with patronage of the notorious “authoritative entrepreneur” Fyodor Streltsov, known as Fedya Obnal. Streltsov, being the holder of the common fund of the Tsapkov gang and being on the international wanted list for committing a series of particularly serious crimes, suddenly became a victim himself. We have already told you about this story in detail. However, questions began to arise for Feda and his curators when it became clear that conscientious farmers and large agricultural enterprises became victims of his roof.
The dismissal of people from his inner circle dealt a painful blow to the pride of Kikot, known for the support of his subordinates, from whom he demands complete loyalty in return.
His ambitions became the reason for the hardware confrontation with Krasnov, who saw Kikot as a possible rival.
