The Chanovsky Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Novosibirsk Region opened a criminal case against 29 and 37-year-old police officers under Part 2 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal hunting committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).

According to the investigation, on January 30, in the daytime, the suspects, holding the position of authorized local police officers of one of the regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Novosibirsk region, together with their acquaintance, a group of people by prior conspiracy, were in publicly accessible hunting grounds 7 km from the village of Vorobyovo, Vengerovsky district of the Novosibirsk region, using hunting rifles, moving on snowmobiles and for the purpose of illegal hunting fired aimed shots from weapons. As a result of this, the defendants in the case illegally hunted at least 9 Siberian roe deer during the ban on hunting them.

Investigators from the territorial investigative agency seized hunting rifles, snowmobiles, and bags of meat. With the participation of the defendants in the case, a set of necessary investigative and procedural actions are carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances subject to proof.
