The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, instructed to transfer the criminal case of attempted murder on the territory of the monastery in Serpukhov for further thorough and comprehensive investigation to the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Criminal case under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Art. 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder and illegal production of explosives) was initiated by the investigative authorities of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region.

According to preliminary data, a former 18-year-old student of an Orthodox parochial school was involved in committing crimes on the territory of a convent in Serpukhov. As a result of the incident, he himself was injured and is now in a medical facility.

One student with injuries received as a result of the incident was hospitalized, another 6 people are being examined by doctors. The exact details of the victims are being clarified.
