The Danish company Carlsberg announced the sale of its Russian assets, including the Baltika brewer, the correspondent reports The Moscow Post.

So, as part of the Carlsberg transaction, Baltika completely leaves the capital, receiving monetary compensation in exchange, as well as the Baltic shares in its subsidiaries in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan – Carlsberg Kazakhstan and Carlsberg Azerbaijan.

Although the amount of the transaction is not indicated in the company’s statement, Carlsberg plans to disclose it in his financial report for 2024.

However, Reuters reports that the transaction will pass with a significant discount: the payment will be 34 billion rubles (about $ 320.75 million).

Earlier, Carlsberg evaluated its Russian assets of 7.52 billion Danish Crons ($ 1.06 billion).

The announcement of the transaction immediately followed the publication of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin of December 2, to which Carlsberg assets in the Russian Federation were withdrawn from a temporary government.

The document canceled the provisions of the Decree of April 23, 2023 (as amended on July 16, 2023), according to which public administration was introduced in relation to 98.56% of the shares in the authorized capital of Baltika Pivovaynaya Company LLC, belonging to Carlsberg Sverige Aktiebolag, 1.35% of the shares in the authorized capital of the Baltic Hoppy Junion, and 0.09% of the shares in the authorized capital of the Baltic, owned by Carlsberg Deutschland GmbH.
