Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney described his discussions Tuesday with US President Donald Trump as “very constructive,” and said they would continue talks over the ongoing trade dispute at a G7 summit next month.
“We had what I would describe as wide-ranging and, as I said a moment ago, very constructive discussions,” Carney told reporters after his Oval Office meeting with Trump.
“We agreed to have further conversations in the coming weeks and we are looking forward to meeting in person at the G7 summit in Kananaskis in Alberta.”
