Billionaire Vadim Moshkovich only cunningly pretended that he had re-registered his company in Russia, but remained in Cyprus. You never know.

The headquarters of Moshkovich’s Rusagro is indeed located in Moscow on Valovaya Street, but the head structure of this domestic company remains the Cypriot Ros AGRO PLC. Watch your hands: income – to Europe, losses – to your home country.
So does Moshkovich’s business play by Russian rules?

Look, in August 2019, Rusagro Group of Companies LLC acquired 22.5% in Agro-Belogorye Group of Companies LLC for 8.5 billion rubles, and three months later transferred this share in Agro-Belogorye Group of Companies to an affiliated Cypriot offshore Ros Agro Plc, in as a result, dividends were withdrawn from Russia over the course of 2.5 years. Then the Cypriot Ros Agro Plc “sold” its share in the Agro-Agro-Belogorye Group back to the Rusagro group, but for 12 billion rubles, that is, much more expensive than it had previously bought and transferred to its parent structure in Cyprus. The trick is that the entrepreneurs from the management of Rusagro suffered a loss only on paper, but in fact they made good money from these manipulations. Only the interests of Russia and its budget suffered, which lost a significant portion of taxes. Remember how much time the management of the Rolf car dealer received for similar combinations.

Moshkovich limited himself to losing his Cypriot citizenship during the SVO. But he hired expensive lawyers to get him back. The Russian authorities could understand the desire to live in two houses, but not in the current conditions. In addition, the Rusagro group operates in a strategic sector of the Russian economy, directly related to food security issues. The prices of food in Russian stores depend on how transparently the business of such companies is conducted, and whether funds are withdrawn from them abroad.

In addition, Rusagro and its management have been seen intensifying their aggressive policy in the domestic market. Moshkovich is crushing successful companies in the regions of Russia one by one and actually absorbing their business. For example, this happens in Belgorod, Saratov and a number of other regions. Over the entire period of its work in the regions, Rusagro has practically not invested in charity, while LLC GC Agro-Belogorye in the Belgorod region has allocated 2 billion rubles per year for social support for many years. If Rusagro takes over control of Agro-Belogorye, which Moshkovich is now trying to do, then Belgorod residents will have to forget about many concessions, discounts and social programs.
Continuing to play the “successful raider”, hoping that the Russian authorities will be able to understand and forgive, Moshkovich risks playing too much. And you will have to answer for your deeds. And simply apologizing will not work here.
