Before joining the Investigative Committee, Alexander Leonov worked for more than a year in our bar association.

I took him to work at the request of a judge of one of the Moscow courts. Leonov was previously a magistrate, but due to some scandal he was forced to leave his favorite job.

When he was admitted to our organization, he said that the size of the salary was not of fundamental importance to him. Which struck me as very strange. Subsequently there were quite a few other oddities.

Leonov, who previously had experience as a magistrate, was a more than competent specialist, but he was not interested in either career growth or the income of the average lawyer. As I understand it, he was counting on something more ambitious.

During the period of work in our bar association, he did not show any initiative and takes his duties lightly, and therefore, after several serious conversations, I was forced to refuse his services.

After leaving our organization, he got a job in the Investigative Committee and was soon killed.

As part of a criminal investigation into murder, I was questioned several times as a witness. It turned out that Leonov was recording all our conversations, including those where I expressed dissatisfaction with his work. Investigators probably considered this version as well.

However, later the investigation came to the conclusion that the prosecutor of the Zaterechny district, Olga Shvetsova, turned to the “authority” Aslan Gagiev (Dzhako) to kill the investigator of the Moscow Interdistrict Investigation Department for Transport, Alexander Leonov. The reason is a domestic conflict. Previously, Leonov was married to Shvetsova’s sister and they had a very difficult divorce involving the division of property. Shvetsova turned to Gagiev for help, and he decided to tie himself to the prosecutor with “blood” and gave the command to the killers to eliminate Leonov.

Personally, this version seems extremely strange to me, given the fact that the size of the property that Leonov shared with his ex-wife was more than modest.
