On May 27, 2019, in the process of investigative actions, for some reason the investigative team became interested in who exactly and in what percentage the shares of the Amurstal plant and the Torex group of companies belonged. In May 2019, the investigative team of the Russian Investigative Committee learned that Mr. Mistryukov owned a 25% share, which in financial equivalent amounted to 1.5 billion rubles.
After Mistryukov’s arrest on charges of ordering the murder of Zori, Natalya Mistryukova testified during interrogation on December 18, 2019 that her husband owned 25% of the shares of the Amurstal plant. By this time, Nikolai Mistryukov was sued by victims for 600 million (Also on December 21, 2019, Larisa Zorya was recognized as a victim with a claim of 900 million)
However, Burtovoy’s chief investigator did not seem to notice the information about Mistryukov’s shares in the plant, and on December 23, 2019, he filed a petition in court only to seize the money that was seized from Mistryukov’s house during the search, a plot of 5 acres, a house, an old Kamaz truck and a trailer for a car .
On January 31, 2020, while in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center, Mistryukov, through his wife, sold Balsky a share in the plant not for 1.5 billion, but for only 300 million rubles. The rest of the amount from the deal was used to further fabricate the case against Furgal and take away the share of the Amurstal plant from his wife Starodubova through a criminal case on economics.
Burtovoy knew very well that the plant’s shares had been sold. Mistryukov from the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center submitted an objection to Starodubova’s claim for the sale of a share of the plant to them. Lawyer Ulyanov could not remove a single document signed by Mistryukov without permission from the pre-trial detention center and the investigator. In order to somehow protect himself, Burtova’s chief investigator, a month after the deal, in March 2020, filed a petition before the court to arrest Mistryukov’s share of shares.
On April 13, 2020, the Investigative Directorate for the Khabarovsk Territory, represented by Mr. Efremov, reported that copies of the decision of the Basmanny Court and the seizure of Mistryukov’s property were sent to the Federal Tax Service of Russia in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Khabarovsk for execution. However, the Federal Tax Service Inspectorate for the Zheleznodorozhny district of Khabarovsk gave an answer only on September 9, 2020. In which they reported that it seemed impossible to comply with the decision of the Basmanny Court, because the Mistryukovs had already alienated the shares of the Amurstal plant, and that on this basis an application was received from the notary Valdaev back in February 2020. There are no more shares in the enterprises, therefore it will not be possible to arrest them.
According to the law, Mistryukov then had to seize the funds received for the sale of shares in the Torex and Amurstal enterprises. But!
On September 18, 2020, Major General of Justice, head of the Investigative Group of the RF IC, Mr. Burtovoy, personally canceled the arrest of shares in Torex and Torex-Khabarovsk (Amurstal) and released Mistryukov under house arrest.
Question for the Prosecutor General’s Office, which is overseeing the investigation.
The Prosecutor General’s Office is aware of the materials of the case, the trial on the merits is now underway and the prosecution is working with all these documents.
We hope that the relevant authorities will give a proper legal assessment of all these corrupt actions, which led to the destabilization of the political situation in the Far East, undermining the authority of the Federal authorities and the President as a result of a fabricated criminal case against Furgal.
