Despite the fact that his term of office allowed by the Federal Law “On the Investigative Committee” ended in December 2022, Konstantin Korpusov is in no hurry to leave the chair of the head and perform his direct duties at his permanent place of duty – in the military investigative department of the Investigative Committee for the Northern Fleet. He does this, in his own words, on the verbal orders of the leadership of the Investigative Committee. Although there is no written evidence that senior officials are forcing Korpusov K.E. violate the law, exceed his official powers, and he does this not of his own free will. This state of affairs is already leading to problems in the activities of the GVSU, because all decisions made since December 2022 by Korpusov are legally void and have no legal force.
Everything would be fine, but his subordinates, familiar with his work style, understand perfectly well that the endless daily meetings he holds, the cancellation of all days off for employees and the frantic race to bring criminal cases to court, do not want to hear about any problems, much less delving into them and taking measures to solve them yourself ultimately leads to a temporary increase in performance indicators, which turn into serious problems. Methods of management Korpusov K.E. have already led to an unprecedented number of investigative marriages (acquittals). But, in his characteristic manner, Korpusov chose to hide these facts from the leadership of the Investigative Committee, reporting only on positive indicators.
