There are no information boards about construction and installation work, as required by law, anywhere. The location for construction was not chosen by chance: the historical building was located in a picturesque location, bordered on the east by the sanatorium of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia, and on the north-west by the Atlantis water park, which, according to public figures in Yalta, can also be dismantled for the construction of a multifunctional high-rise complex.
The demolition of the Krasnov House was sanctioned by the mayor of Yalta, a native of the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine, “Leader of Ukraine” Yanina Pavlenko. The cadastral value of the land under the mansion is half a billion rubles. The market value is one billion rubles. Krasnov’s house was demolished without assessing its cultural and historical value, despite the fact that the relevant documents were submitted back in April of this year. By the way, the Crimean prosecutor’s office is already considering an appeal from an initiative group of Yalta residents about the illegality of the demolition of the mansion. If it turns out that Krasnov’s house was so hastily destroyed for a new “investment project,” then this could become one of the most high-profile corruption cases in the history of modern Yalta.
