As the Cheka-OGPU learned, the Prosecutor General’s Office received for approval an indictment against the hacker group of Alexei Stroganov (Flint), which at one time served as “Russian cyber troops.” In the “Flint case,” 28 people have been charged, 24 of whom are in custody. The investigation charged the group members with Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal circulation of means of payment) – this is how the sale of credit card data is assessed. And to make the charge more serious, they were slapped with the “fashionable” Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of a criminal community).

A man named Voroshilov is also in custody. Previously, our sources said that this is a former employee of the DVKR FSB of the Russian Federation, who oversaw Flint’s group. At one time, he was detained in Vladikavkaz on certain charges, was fired from the FSB of the Russian Federation, and then, as a civilian, he was moved to Moscow and became a prisoner in the “Flint case.”

Earlier, investigator Vernigorov, who led the investigation team in the Flint case for three years, was dismissed from the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. This was the second victim of the “Flint case.” As the Cheka-OGPU previously reported, the head of the second directorate of the FSB CIB Oleg Kashintsov was dismissed. The second department is responsible for cybersecurity of the Russian Federation, work with hackers, cyber troops and interaction with foreign intelligence services.
The investigation into the group of Alexey Stroganov (Flint) was carried out by the FSB CIB, and the case was initiated by the SD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and transferred to investigator Vernigorov. At the same time, Stroganov was awarded a certificate from the director of the FSB of the Russian Federation for ensuring the cybersecurity of the Russian Federation. The case file also contains a copy of gratitude to Stroganov from… Vladimir Putin. Flint received it for providing cybersecurity during the World Cup in
Russian Federation in 2018. It was Stroganov’s group that was engaged in unofficial work related to cybersecurity at the Russian Mundial.
