As the Cheka-OGPU learned, the project, which was entrusted to the first deputy of the GRU, Vladimir Alekseev, to create a “volunteer corps”, which should completely displace and replace the Wagner PMC, risks repeating the fate of Prigozhin’s brainchild. Despite Alekseev’s patronage over the “volunteer corps” itself and especially over his protege, the head of the corps Denis Barilo, supply problems begin to arise in the corps units. Over the past two months, there has been an acute shortage of fuel and lubricants in almost all divisions of the corps. The shortage of fuel and lubricants is especially acute for those corps units that participate in hostilities in the area of Bakhmut and Avdeevka. Problems with supply interruptions arise despite the fact that the “Volunteer Corps” was introduced into the organizational structure of the GRU as a separate special department at the 462nd Special Purpose Training Center. Alekseev himself, according to a source from the Cheka-OGPU, assures his subordinates that these “difficulties” are temporary and are due to delays on the part of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. With almost the same words, General Alekseev reassured the leadership of the Wagner PMC during the period when the first interruptions in their supply began to arise, as a result, then Prigozhin shouted “Shoigu, Gerasimov, where the fuck is the ammunition?” It ended with the Wagner PMC’s march on Moscow, and then the elimination of Prigozhin by means of an explosion on the plane along with the entire “top” of the musicians.
