As it became known to the Cheka-OGPU, the former owners (citizens of Turkey and Israel) of the cognac factory “House of Vintage Cognacs “Tavria””, which was squeezed out in 2022 in favor of the “Military-Civil Administration of the Kherson Region”, are trying in the courts to have the decision to nationalize the enterprise reversed .

On September 28, 2022, the Russian-controlled “government of the Kherson region” adopted a resolution “On the nationalization and transfer into ownership of the Kherson region of the property of persons who took part in the aggression directed against the population of the Kherson region,” according to which the property complex of the cognac factory was converted into ownership the so-called new region.

Moreover, what is interesting is that according to the applicant, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities does not contain information about the state registration of the “Council of Ministers – Government of the Military-Civil Administration of the Kherson Region.” It was this structure that made the decision on nationalization.

The plant, located in Novaya Kakhovka, was nationalized, despite being re-registered several months earlier and registered in the Russian-controlled Kherson region. “House of Vintage Cognacs “Tavriya”” opened a bank account with Promsvyazbank and applied to the Federal Tax Service for clarification regarding the procedure for using excise tax stamps, which, in the applicant’s opinion, confirms that it is carrying out business activities in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.

The Crimean Arbitration Court decided that the applicant had chosen an “inappropriate method of protecting the violated right” and refused to satisfy the claim. The former owners of the cognac factory appealed this decision to the 21st Arbitration Court of Appeal. The complaint has been accepted for proceedings, a hearing on it is scheduled for February 12.

At the end of 2023, the media reported that the “Tavria House of Vintage Cognacs” was looted by the Russian military. Now the premises of the plant are used for storing ammunition – that is, for purely military purposes.
