As it became known to the Cheka-OGPU, telephone scammers who managed to scam Zarema Chakhkiyeva, Commissioner for Children’s Rights of Ingushetia, out of 200 thousand rubles were detained. Initially, the scammers sent an SMS in which, on behalf of their assistant Tatyana Golikova, they spoke about the upcoming visit of the Deputy Prime Minister to the republic. Allegedly, Golikova’s trip is controlled by the head of Ingushetia himself, but to organize a transfer and light snacks along the way, you need to send half a million rubles to the captured account. Chakhkieva was not surprised by the strange demand and deposited an advance of 200 thousand on the card of a certain Andranik Asatryan. Later it turned out that there were no preparations for Golikova’s visit to Ingushetia, and the government did not know of any assistant who would ask for money from the Ombudsman. The deceived human rights activist had to write a statement to the police. Surprisingly, the scammers were identified, although it was not so easy. In Moscow, two people were detained on suspicion of deceiving Zarema Chakhkieva – certain Armen Mehrabyan and Evgeny Shchukin. They have been convicted of what they have done, their involvement in other crimes has been established, and their accomplices are also being sought – Chakhkieva’s commissioner spoke on the phone with a woman to whom she introduced herself as an assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister.
