As the Cheka-OGPU learned, on November 11, 2022, three employees of the 7th battalion, a structural unit of the 2nd traffic police regiment (southern) of the Moscow Region Traffic Police, were detained for extorting money from a fuel tanker driver. One of the detainees is Evgeniy Vorobiev, who previously worked together with the commander of the 2nd DPS regiment (southern) Berendin in the 1st DPS regiment (northern). Vorobiev was fired due to the presence of incriminating materials, but Berendin, with the assistance of KPO employees, reinstated him.

Why is Vorobiev so valuable? In the southern regiment, he is considered a great “specialist” in dangerous goods, he knows well how to “cheat” businessmen and fuel truck drivers out of money. Therefore, Vorobyov, under the patronage of Berendin and the direct leadership of Mitichkin, fit perfectly into the criminal scheme, which worked successfully for a long time.

Despite all this, regiment commander Berendin continues to praise Mitichkin at the hearings, deliberately not noticing serious violations and failures in work, one of which is a serious increase in the number of deaths.

The Telegram channel of the Cheka of the OGPU has previously written about the unhealthy situation that has developed in the 2nd regiment of the traffic police (southern) of the Moscow region traffic police, or more precisely in its structural unit, the 7th battalion, commanded by the odious lieutenant colonel Mikhail Mitichkin. Then, employees of the Internal Security Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region identified a corruption scheme in this unit for protecting illegal transportation, deputy commander Karykhalov was detained, about twenty employees were brought to disciplinary responsibility, some of whom were dismissed from the internal affairs bodies.

It would seem that now the situation in the department should improve, the corrupt officials will tuck their tails between their legs and turn into respectable employees. However, no, everything remains the same. Mitichkin is in his place and he needs to “feed” the leaders at the top, and for this, corruption schemes must work to extort money from carriers, roadside business owners and many others who are at least somehow dependent on the traffic police. There was and still is no control from the leadership of the regiment and the KPO UGIBDD, because they are the very leaders at the top who are “fed” by Mitichkin. And they “eat” with great appetite.
