The investigation established that Korbut, during his military service from 2019 to 2023, organized and took over a number of commercial organizations, including ITC Quartermaster LLC, which entered into subcontracting agreements with contractors of the state defense order, which were controlled by him in the service . At the same time, according to sources, all contracts concluded with organizations owned by Korbut were fictitious, and no work was carried out on them. Korbut withdrew the funds received in this way to affiliated accounts, cashed them out and spent them on his own needs.
According to available information, Korbut controlled and took part in the acceptance of military equipment, weapons and various high-precision equipment and components produced in the interests of the Russian Armed Forces.
Currently, the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is checking the involvement of the military representative in the commission of other similar crimes, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure for him in the form of detention is being decided.
