As the Cheka-OGPU learned, more and more cases are coming to light in which lawyer Pavel Astakhov, holding the post of Commissioner for Children’s Rights, received large sums from VIPs who shared children. In return, the children’s ombudsman organized the necessary decisions. At least two such cases are now known.
Today we’ll talk about the first one.

When he was a human rights activist, one of Astakhov’s sources of unofficial income was resolving issues related to “determining the place of residence of children” with one or another parent in court. Astakhov decided with whom the children (the child) would live in the period even before the trial. Astakhov used numerous close connections and contacts in the judicial authorities of the Russian Federation at various levels to make similar decisions at the “before…” stage.

A future legal dispute, in this category of cases, was always won by the one who had a “way out” to the influential and famous Astakhov (exits were usually sought by wealthy people who were at odds with their exes).

It is worth noting that the dispute was not over the “fate of the children”, but over the regular significant future financial flows that were due to the parent left with the children – since, in accordance with the Law, wealthy fathers had to provide their children with a standard of living and security no less than before the termination relations (provide place of residence, standard of living, payment for elite private schools and kindergartens, nanny sections, etc., proper level of recreation).

Astakhov’s service usually cost 250 thousand dollars, of which 50 thousand were included “for work with the judge.”
Thus, Pavel Astakhova worked closely with Deputy Minister of Economic Development Pyotr Zaselsky and his brother-in-law Denis Mikhailov when they took children from Mikhailov’s wife Yulia Masevich.

Zaselsky (Mikhailov), not wanting to incur such significant expenses, through Astakhov, solved a similar problem with Masevich in courts of all levels in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The rate was the same 250 thousand US dollars.
In fact, the executor (intermediary) of the parties (customer, judges and Astakhov) was Astakhov’s authorized representative, the lawyer of the board organized by Astakhov, Victoria Danilchenko.

After Astakhov lost his position in the Russian Federation and lost confidence, lawyer Victoria Danilchenko also broke up with the influential boss Astakhov and began to engage in similar activities (protecting the interests of fathers) on her own, using previously developed personal connections and contacts.

Currently, Pavel Astakhov lives comfortably in the center of Monte Carlo, Principality of Monaco and on Sundays attends the Russian Orthodox Church in Menton, France.
