As it became known to the Cheka-OGPU, Major General Vyacheslav Lobuzko, the founding father of stations designed to detect ballistic and cruise missiles, the ex-commander of the division of the 3rd separate air defense army, was arrested. The events took place within the framework of the case of theft during the construction of the National Center for State Defense Management (NTSUOG) “Center 2014”.

According to the source, Vyacheslav Lobuzko was charged with giving a bribe to an official of the Ministry of Defense. The garrison court chose a preventive measure for the retired 68-year-old general in the form of arrest.

There are currently several defendants in the case who cooperated with the investigation, as a result of which it was possible to bring charges against Lobuzko. And he is certainly not the last accused in this ongoing case.

Vyacheslav Lobuzko is a former commander of the early warning system division; after his resignation in 2000, he moved to AFK Sistema, where he worked until 2019 as a key top manager of the defense block of AFK. As the first deputy of RTI JSC, he was involved in the construction of Voronezh missile launch early detection stations, and since 2014 he oversaw the creation of the Center R&D Center – the construction of the National Defense Center of the Russian Defense Ministry on Frunzenskaya Embankment. It was the fraud associated with the construction of the NCUOG that formed the basis of the criminal case and the accusation of corruption against the general.
