“NKT” is the owner of hydraulic structures – port berths in the Leningrad region. Organized by a daughter of Ruskhimallians, he acquired NKT in 2021 from the structures of Ilya Traber. The organization is currently constructing a Marine Export Terminal for liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum gases. The project is being implemented at the expense of the state corporation VEB.RF. This strategically important project is aimed at neutralizing Russia’s negative consequences of the loss of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
The investigation charges Pozdin with several fraudulent transactions in favor of companies from Russia in the amount of 85 million rubles, as well as transactions worth 1.27 billion rubles with companies from China and the UAE. The largest episode of theft of funds was carried out in collusion with the Chinese company Nongken IFF Co, essentially a fictitious company registered in an ordinary apartment in the city of Urumqi. The Chinese allegedly transshipped and stored coal on the territory of the “NKT”. However, in reality this process was carried out by one of the subdivisions of the contractor itself. All this became clear with the change of the company director, who initiated the criminal case.
To date, Pozdin is in custody awaiting trial, which is scheduled for November 23. The defendant Pozdin admitted his guilt on the smallest episode; as for the fattest tranche, here the accused plans to drag his accomplices along with him. According to him, he does not intend to sit alone. At the same time, according to available information, accomplices are already putting pressure on the judge of the St. Petersburg City Court, Svetlana Zhigulina. The purpose of this manipulation is the desire to get Pozdin under house arrest.
