As the Cheka-OGPU learned, clouds are gathering over the chairman of the Direct Democracy party, Oleg Artamonov, who in recent years has turned it into a personal business project. Today there are no registered employees in the party, except for the “Secretary General” himself, who is exclusively busy eating up the funding that, in his own words, is being given to him from the Administration and from one of the IT companies. At the same time, Artamonov himself dreams of leaving for the Public Chamber, leaving one of his protégés in the party treasury in his place, so as not to lose access to funding. He is looking for a new nominal Secretary General right now.

At the same time, internal processes within the party itself are developing negatively. In the sense that for the second year now many regional branches have wanted to leave it, but Artamonov simply ignores their requests and thereby saves the party from collapse for now. Perhaps it is for this reason that he has not held party congresses since December 2020 and has reduced internal party activities to a minimum.

In fact, all that the party does under Artamonov is legalize DEG. Artamonov himself claims that he is one of the best IT specialists in this field, but this is not so. He is known in the market as a swindler with a scandalous reputation. His own Internet of Things company is bankrupt. Not long ago she lost a lawsuit against Samsung and now owes him 4.5 million rubles. The bailiffs are not yet able to collect the debt from Artamonov.

For him now the party budget is his last and only source of income. But this is for now, since Artamonov confidently positions himself as a politician close to the Presidential Administration, and expects to get new budgets for himself in the future. And actively borrows money for future services.

Thus, one of the tidbits may be the structure of DEG. Artamonov is actively lobbying his bankrupt company to develop software for IR. But he is silent about the fact that he has no employees, and all coders are outsourced. In particular, if Artamonov ever gets involved in DEG, then most of the work will be done by his friends from Samsung (including those on relocation).
