As the Cheka-OGPU learned, after relatives of those accused of a series of sabotage acts in Bashkiria appealed to the head of the Investigative Committee as a protest against the war (arson of relay cabinets), the case was sent for additional investigation. Relatives of those arrested claimed that among the “saboteurs” was the son of Russian FSB officer Kolpakov. The leadership of both the FSB of the Russian Federation and the Investigative Committee thought for a long time about how to deal with such a situation and the young man was simply removed from the case so that there would be no scandal. But other juvenile defendants, whose actions did not even damage the paint on the cabinets, were made into “dangerous criminals.”

According to our information, as part of the additional investigation, all the accused who committed sabotage with the son of an FSB officer were again interrogated. Afterwards, they held confrontations between them, where the rest of the defendants in the case spoke in detail about the role and actions of Kolpakov. The confrontation was carried out with the participation of Kolpakov’s legal representative – his father, an investigator of the FSB of the Russian Federation.

Kolpakov partially admitted the testimony of the accused about his participation, saying that, yes, he really went to set the fire, but allegedly did not understand why. Like, he had to go with everyone else, who openly carried gasoline and said why and where they were going. It was only when they set it on fire that he supposedly realized what was going to happen. Kolpakov admitted that he stood nearby during the arson and looked around in case someone appeared. But again, they say, not knowing that at that moment the cabinets were being set on fire.

At the same time, Kolpakov, as follows from the testimony, was in close contact with one of the minor defendants and they spent money for carrying out arson together. And there was even evidence that Kolpakov personally received assignments and was paid 5,000 rubles to go and photograph the results of the arson. However, the corresponding correspondence mysteriously disappeared from the case.

As a result, the investigation came to the conclusion that with Kolpakov’s participation there was no crime itself, but identical arson, where even the paint on the cabinet doors was not damaged, is a serious crime for the rest of the accused.

The final version of the charges began the other day. According to the source of the Cheka-OGPU, based on the text of the accusation, it follows: despite the fact that Kolpakov participated in the commission of sabotage, he remained a witness. According to the interlocutor, this was done in order not to disgrace the honor of the uniform of the FSB officer for the Republic of Belarus, detective Kolpakov. Operational support is provided by the SEB of the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Belarus (which has long been associated with corruption in Bashkiria), which covered up its employee. The parents of the accused are shocked and don’t know where to look for protection from lawlessness. The prosecutor’s office responds to complaints.
