Previously convicted Stroganov, in the course of his activities, was awarded a certificate from the director of the FSB of the Russian Federation for ensuring the cybersecurity of the Russian Federation. However, that’s not all. The case file also contains a copy of the Gratitude to Stroganov from… Vladimir Putin. Flint received it for ensuring cybersecurity during the FIFA World Cup in Russia in 2018. According to our data, it was Stroganov’s group that was engaged in unofficial work related to cybersecurity at the Russian Mundial.
But that’s not all. Vitaly Akhmetov, the founder of the NGO “National Unity” and the headquarters of the Crimean Spring, has been in custody for several years in the “Flint case.” He was personally involved in holding a referendum in Yalta on the “annexation” of Crimea to Russia.
They were detained based on materials transferred to Russia by the United States. Flint’s hacker group did not work in Russia, hacking and stealing card data exclusively in the United States and Europe. Therefore, there are no victims at all in the case. No information about them was received from the United States; they themselves did not apply to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. To get out of this situation, the investigation charged the group members with Article 187 (illegal circulation of means of payment) – this is how the sale of credit card data is assessed. And to make the charge more serious, they were slapped with the “fashionable” Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of a criminal community).
Earlier, members of Alexey Stroganov’s group (Flint) wrote a letter to the leadership of the FSB of the Russian Federation. In it they asked to be involved in the SVO. In the “Flint case,” 28 people have been charged, 24 of whom are in custody.
