As the Cheka-OGPU learned, the second investigator in the “YUKOS case”, Mikhail Tumanov, was dismissed from the Investigative Committee. Moreover, he was fired with a scandal – personnel officers decided to personally catch him at work while intoxicated and recorded this fact. It was for this that Tumanov was fired. At one time, Tumanov was part of the investigation team for the “YUKOS case”, in particular, he headed the “Aleksanyan episode”.

As previously reported by the Cheka-OGPU, another investigator in the “YUKOS case”, Yuri Burtovoy, was dismissed from the Investigative Committee. Next in line to “go out” are other “important” generals: Novikov, Khalapov, Khomitsky, Chernyshov, with whose hands the state filed a lot of high-profile criminal cases. What is happening serves as another reminder that the system will sooner or later devour even its most loyal soldiers.

As for Tumanov, previously “drinking alcohol in the workplace” was a toast in the TFR and a definite pass to high offices. I wonder how radically the situation has changed now and to what heights this struggle can reach.
