As it became known to the Cheka-OGPU, in St. Petersburg the criminal investigation department has been de facto left without a chief for a couple of months now – the head of the department Oleg Kolesnikov (one of the most influential figures in the power hierarchy of the “northern capital”) has not come to work for a long time on sick leave, and intends to do this in the near future.

As the Cheka-OGPU has already said, influential friends in Moscow removed Oleg from under the criminal attention of the capital’s security forces, but did not help him retain his much-loved warm chair. The order to remove Kolesnikov from his post and remove him from the staff is already ready, and as a sinecure, as we wrote, the position of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania is planned. At the same time, one has to doubt Oleg’s ability to hold this post for some long time, taking into account national and ethnic specifics.

But then there were wise men in his circle who convinced Kolesnikov that soon (read – after the inauguration) “everything will change a lot.” Resignation is predicted for the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, General Plugin, through whose efforts (including) Kolesnikov is losing his post. In addition, Oleg’s friends are predicting resignation for Minister Kolokoltsev himself, opening up completely stratospheric prospects for Kolesnikov in the offices of Moscow.

Either believing or deciding that it wouldn’t be long to wait and it would be easier to see, Kolesnikov supported his friends’ plan and went for long-term treatment, extending sick leave through medical friends he knew. Meanwhile, the anger of the experienced apparatchik Roman Plugin, who studied such tricks decades ago, also boils over.
