As the Cheka-OGPU learned, the amount of bribe charged to the leading officer of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Grigory Tsaregorodtsev, has increased. To the 100 million rubles, another 50 million rubles were added, which he received from hackers. Tsaregorodtsev himself admitted to receiving the specified amount and filed an application to conclude a deal with the investigation.

According to investigators, Tsaregorodtsev received about 50 million more for concealing the activities of hacker Gilev’s group, so the total amount of the bribe charged to him has already increased to 150 million rubles. However, Tsaregorodtseva himself claims that this was not a bribe at all. They say he received money, but he deceived hackers and had no intention of helping them.
Thus, Tsaregorodtsev hopes that the article against him will be softened – from Part 6 of Article 290 (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale) to Part 4 of Article 159 (fraud on an especially large scale).
Since the article of fraud on an especially large scale allows for partial compensation of the damage caused, Mr. Tsaregorodtsev “cannot remember” what he spent such a significant amount of in full, only a part.
Thus, the investigation has now only proven the acquisition of a car and an apartment after receiving 100 million rubles in bribes. Such “forgetfulness,” according to Tsaregorodtsev, will be forgiven for the fact that he made a deal before the investigation.
Also, according to Tsaregorodtsev, he did not commit criminal acts, due to the fact that a gang of cybercriminals stole bank card data of citizens of foreign countries, not citizens of the Russian Federation, and Tsaregorodtsev himself deceived not decent people, but the most criminals – hackers. Let’s see how the investigation and Themis react to such “nobility” and the Robin Hood complex.

In addition, the Cheka-OGPU learned that, according to the tradition established after Colonel Zakharchenko, searches were also carried out at Tsaregorodtsev’s mistresses, during which about 30 million rubles were seized. Thus, one of them, with whom the accused is raising a common child, filed a lawsuit to the court to declare the search illegal due to the presence of one’s own high official income.

It is quite possible that on November 7, 2023, the FSB officer’s lawyers, at the court hearing on choosing a preventive measure for him, will use the argument for Tsaregorodtsev’s house arrest to explain his need to take care of two wives and 4 minor children.
