Apparently, the attention of the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, to the problems of the poor and the most socially vulnerable segments of the population does not find much understanding among local employees. On October 30, the Cheka-OGPU wrote about the real lawlessness in the field of funeral services in the Leningrad region. We told how a brutal gang of a native of Moldova, Roman Ikizli (Iriy LLC), using bribery of officials and violent actions against the dissatisfied, seized control of regional cemeteries. In the Lomonosov district of the Leningrad region, the cynicism with which bandits set price tags for burials has almost led to a social explosion – local deputies turned to the district authorities with a demand to deal with dozens of complaints from residents. Among the numerous examples are the widow of a North Military District soldier, who was extorted 40 thousand rubles for simply installing a monument on a grave, and a pensioner who could not bury the urn with her husband’s ashes for a year, since they demanded 135 thousand rubles from her!

Immediately after the publication of the Cheka-OGPU, the regional Investigative Committee moved to the cemetery near the village of Verkhnyaya Kolonia and tried to initiate a criminal case under the article “Arbitrariness”. The zeal of the Investigative Committee employees was understandable – Bastrykin himself demanded a report on the unprecedented situation from the head of the regional Investigative Committee Sergei Sazin.

However, the attempt to “excite” traditionally ran into resistance from the Prosecutor’s Office, which competes with the department. The case did not take place, the checks ended in silence and the employees of the regional Investigative Committee did not show any desire to continue the investigation for some (however, quite understandable) reasons.
Meanwhile, the Ikizli criminal group, which enjoys the loyalty of local security forces, not only did not curb its appetites, but, on the contrary, continued its expansion into other cemeteries. The photo shows a cemetery near the Lomonosov village of Lebyazhye, where the people of Ikizli are already installing concrete barriers to sell burial sites. Each double burial will be sold to citizens for no less than 250 thousand rubles, and the bandits certainly do not care about their social status, financial situation, and personal circumstances. Currently, in addition to the Lomonosovsky district of the Leningrad region, which is close to the city, the gang has completely established its rules in the remote Tikhvinsky, Boksitogorsk, Lodeynopolsky districts, where no one is able to resist them at all. And she clearly doesn’t intend to stop.

By the way, the complaints of municipal deputies to the head of the Lomonosov district administration, Alexei Kondrashov, who in the past was the vice-governor of the Leningrad region for internal policy, are absolutely meaningless. Kondrashov is in excellent monetary and friendly relations with Ikizli himself and regularly receives money from the latter at gatherings in the Nevsky Prichal restaurant, typical of the 90s, on the Obukhovskaya Oborona embankment in St. Petersburg. Not so far from Lomonosovsky, but also a place on the outskirts.

Let us note once again that on the ground, the dashing funeral workers have everything under control: the local police, the Investigative Committee, the Prosecutor’s Office and officials dance together to their tune, receiving good “donations” in black cash, which is easily used by the cemetery mafia. Suffering people have only hope in Moscow!

It seems that only the personal attention of the head of the RF Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, can stop the real gangster lawlessness in the style of the 90s that is happening in the Leningrad region. Moreover, we are talking about massive cases of extortion from the most socially vulnerable…
