The corruption story in one of the largest contractors of Russian Railways, PSK Remput, which has lasted for more than 5 years, is coming to an end. Our channel has at its disposal the decisions of two arbitration courts in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the framework of the Remputi bankruptcy case. On April 19, the Arbitration Court of the Northwestern District upheld the decision of the 13th Court of Appeal dated December 2, 2021 and rejected the cassation appeals of the theft management of Remputi, led by the legendary dancer between the streams of rain – Anton Mikhalkov, who managed to jump into the chair of the general director of Rosvodokanal. The published resolution reveals a simple scheme for withdrawing and cashing out about 8.2 billion rubles from Remput, which Mikhalkov and co. carried out through an affiliated subcontractor – Inzhputstroy LLC. The withdrawal scheme involved money from customers, incl. Russian Railways, and loans from large banks, which even entered into the capital of the legal entity that owned the company, but this did not help them uncover the theft scheme. Now Mikhalkov himself, as well as his accomplices, have already been brought to subsidiary liability. Anton Mikhalkov’s accounts at Alfa Bank have already been frozen, a ban has been imposed on the disposal of his 10% stake in Rosvodokanal, and a luxury Audi A8 Long sedan and a rare 1967 Jaguar have been seized directly from the parking lot on Berezhkovskaya Embankment. Only one thing remains unclear: whether Mikhalkov will get off with only subsidiary liability and confiscation of property, or will he also go to places not so remote under the article.
