Another funny purely St. Petersburg story from our colleagues from the editorial office of Lisa. So – billionaire and, in the past, partner of the current owners of the Phaeton holding, the Snopkov brothers, Vladimir Khilchenko, lent money at interest. The borrower was a well-known businessman in the city synagogue, Mark Hiller. Borrowing 5 million rubles, Mark promised to pay them back in 3 months, plus 150 thousand on top, but the trouble is, he didn’t pay them back. And when Khilchenko, who positioned himself in the media as a business coach, finally got around to checking his counterpart’s wealth, he suddenly discovered his impending bankruptcy and complete lack of assets. And so a completely futile statement to the police was born.
Let’s supplement our colleagues with a description of the characters:
Khilchenko himself, as well as his son German, have long had Israeli citizenship and are preparing to move to the promised lands. An attempt to sell developers a plot of land at a price of 6 billion rubles is being hindered. The client has not yet matured, but it cannot be ruled out that the recent visit of the FSB to Khilchenko’s former partners, the Snopka brothers, about which the Cheka-OGPU has already spoken, may contribute to leaving abroad.
As for the unscrupulous borrower Hiller, Khilchenko really should have checked him more carefully. According to the Cheka-OGPU, a few years ago Hiller, having inflated the amount of minerals in his quarry by banal forgery of documents, tried to get a bank loan for 1.3 billion rubles, while simultaneously selling the empty quarry to other market players. Thus, in the depths of the economic police of the St. Petersburg Main Directorate, a criminal case was born under the 4th part of Article 159, which, however, somehow resolved. In any case, the story turned out to be instructive and entertaining and is quite suitable as an example for any business training.
