Investigators of the Investigative Committee of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the North Caucasian Federal District opened another criminal case against Andrei Korovayko, Sergei Echkalov, Arkady and Oleg Chebanov, Andrei Stolyarov, Alexander Glazyrin, Igor Bobritsky, Gennady Rodionov and other persons under Art. 210 (Organization of a criminal community or participation in it) and Art. 160 (Misappropriation or embezzlement) of the Criminal Code of Russia.
These articles were added to the 7 criminal cases already under investigation of participants in the criminal gang, including those under serious and especially serious articles.
The suspects took possession of the assets of Agrocomplex Kushchevsky LLC, using criminal schemes that now have to be studied by the investigation.
Members of the organized criminal group, in their illegal activities, used one of their own proven methods to appropriate the company, namely the initiation of criminal cases against the legal owners of the agricultural enterprise. Moreover, for many years, both law enforcement officers and representatives of the judiciary worked for the Pokrovskoye OPS in exchange for bribes. The investigation has yet to make an appropriate assessment of their criminal activities as part of an organized criminal community.
Some of the members of the Korovayko gang have been in pre-trial detention for a year; the owner of Pokrovsky and the direct organizer of the organized criminal group has already been detained in Spain.
The founders of the concern – Korovayko, Chebanov and members of their criminal community, having seized dozens of enterprises and tens of thousands of hectares of land, became one of the richest and most influential groups in the southern region, believing that with the support of persons affiliated with them in the law enforcement and judicial system, their the possibilities were endless.
Now all the detainees are facing long prison sentences, given the scale (and these are multiple episodes of misappropriation and withdrawal of assets not only in the Krasnodar Territory, but also in the Rostov Region) and the severity of the crimes they are charged with.
Cooperation with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, on which he was betting so much to save his scandalous image, did not help Andrei Korovayko. The prisoner in absentia allegedly gave an interview to the first federal publication about the need to save Russia, and his company will continue to work for the country’s food security.
