An official-friendly drama broke out today in the Leningrad region. According to colleagues, the Oktyabrsky District Court chose preventive measures for the former construction vice-governor of the Leningrad region, Mikhail Moskvin, and his former subordinate, director of the regional ANO Directorate for Integrated Development of the Territory, Daniil Fedichev. The expected thing happened. Fedichev, who was detained two days ago, went under house arrest, but Moskvin, who was detained yesterday, will spend at least the next two months in a cell. Everything is very simple – Fedichev had time to think, he thought and began to cooperate with the investigation, testifying against Moskvin. So the former vice-governor became a defendant under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (especially large bribe). By the way, under this article Moskvin could face from 8 to 15 years of real imprisonment. However, it is already clear that the investigation used the simplest way to hide the disgraced official in a cell and is not interested in bribes totaling only 8.5 million. Moskvin managed the entire construction block of the regional government, received billions of federal subsidies for the completion of unfinished projects and the construction of roads and social facilities. So in the future we will most likely talk about completely different figures and even more difficult articles. If we recall the story of the disgraced oligarch Dmitry Mikhalchenko, who is charged under the most severe Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of a criminal community), then his arrest began with a minor charge of evading customs duties. But this is not the drama of Moskvin’s arrest. It’s just that the former vice-governor and the father of Daniil Fedichev, who testified against him, are old, long-term friends. Well, in such a delicate matter, everyone makes their own choice.

Our assumption turned out to be correct. Fedichva was sent under house arrest, Moskvin was arrested “really” for two months. 23% of the 361 people who voted in the survey agreed with our assumption. Most were confident that they would “close” both of them. Well, stay…
