The investigation was entrusted to the senior “important” of the 3rd Investigation Department for the Investigation of Crimes against Persons and Public Security of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Neryupov. Shortly after receiving a high-profile case, Neryupov received the rank of colonel.
Neryupov received his first and immediate scandalous fame last year, when he was removed from the investigation of an attack on a school in Kazan by a former student. The scandal was associated with the dissatisfaction of parents whose physically uninjured children the investigation refused to recognize as victims and transferred them to the status of witnesses.
In addition, Neryupov was involved in the case against the Alpha fighter Zhukov, who had an affair with a previously convicted comrade of some of the guys from the FSB Directorate, Bykov. His track record also includes a small embezzlement case at the Ministry of Sports (Arena 2018) and other cases that are particularly important to certain individuals. There is also a media case not known to the public, related to fraud in a contract for TV services (in this case today there is a possibility of meeting Neryupov in the Basmanny Court).
