“Goodbye, Vasya”
On February 1, 2024, investigator Ekaterina Dmitrienko of the Bezhetsk Investigative Committee opened a new criminal case against me under Part 2 of Article 321 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Disorganization of the activities of an institution.”
My latest publications about cold torture and constant appeals to supervisory authorities have completely infuriated all Tver law enforcement agencies.
On February 1, the investigator charged me and detained me with a free lawyer appointed by Mikhail Fedorov, despite my written objections to the presence of a lawyer under the agreement of Natalya Serdtseva. Ekaterina Dmitrienko reported tomorrow’s arrest in the Bezhetsk Interdistrict Court and transfer to pre-trial detention center-2 in the city of Kashin, Tver Region.
However, the next day she suddenly changed plans. Perhaps she was afraid of refusal in court with such a weak evidence base. On February 2, the investigator rejected my request for the participation of lawyer Serdtseva and arrested me by order of the head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tver Region for two months to serve in pre-trial detention center No. 1 of Tver.
All the employees of IK-6 gathered at the parting scene near the paddy wagon. Their faces radiated gloating and relief, as in the Jumble scene “Farewell, Vasya.”
In the Tver isolation ward, I was immediately placed in a punishment cell. The investigation and trial will take about a year. After the verdict, I will be transported with an extended term to serve my sentence to another Federal Penitentiary Service, most likely to the north or east of the country.
Friends! With such repressions, THE AUTHORITY can ruin my health, but they will not be able to shut my mouth.
Freedom or death!
I ask you to initiate a criminal case under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Exceeding official powers.”
