“Black cellophane bag”

So another fellow traveler through the labyrinths of the Looking Glass suddenly “committed suicide.”

Part two

In Lefortovo, on a hunger strike, I went to the medical unit every day for weighing, past Maksimenko’s cell on our length in 2018.

He was the only one in this central prison who sat alone in a standard double cell. I drank only from the tap after a case of bottled water poisoning. We had one lawyer, which gave me the opportunity to keep abreast of all events related to Mikhail.

Maksimenko’s accomplice, ICR General Denis Nikandrov, who had previously investigated the scandalous “Gambling case of Moscow region prosecutors”, where the leader of the organized crime group was Artem Chaika, and I was the only applicant, became hysterical in the first days of imprisonment in Lefortovo. Then he came to his senses and quickly entered into a pre-trial agreement, admitting guilt and incriminating his colleagues.

The rest of the accused followed, but Mikhail Maksimenko firmly defended his innocence. Then the classic method was used: they find a person who can be put under pressure and force them to talk about the mythical bribe in vivid colors. In this case, this turned out to be entrepreneur Badri Shengelia.

I don’t believe his incriminating testimony at all: Badri claimed that eight years ago he gave Maksimenko a bribe of 50 thousand dollars, but he did not confirm this with anything other than words. In my case there was the same “frame” with a bribe, so I can see the dummies a kilometer away based on their contradictory testimony. Even when he tried to prove at the meeting that he was together with Maksimenko, the billing of their phones indicated the opposite.

After the trial, they decided to eliminate Shengelia as a used contraceptive.

Badri was shot in his Mercedes on the St. Petersburg-Petrozavodsk highway, despite enhanced personal security by armed private security forces.

What they were doing all this time with Maksimenko in Lefortovo, and then in the “Cat House”… A complete nightmare. Mikhail not only allowed me to write about the cruel detention in the psychiatric hospital, but also sincerely thanked me for the publication about the fabrication of his fake criminal case.

In 2020, my book “The Unruly Prisoner” was published, where I described this chaos in detail.

Mikhail identified corrupt officials among the employees of the Investigative Committee: I knew this even when I was free. He did not agree with the accusation, did not cooperate with the investigation, and did not incriminate his colleagues. Uncomfortable, unconventional…

He ended his life in a black plastic bag, caught in the shrapnel of a heated dispute over influence between high-ranking security officials.

Rest your sinful soul, Michael the Martyr!
