The trial of the theft of 98 million rubles from the Grain of Siberia has been going on in court for almost a year, the investigation lasted for several months, and until recently, people who actually made decisions or at least knew who gave orders to whom and for what purposes were were not interviewed. But at the end of May, court hearings were held, at which the lawyer of “Grain of Siberia” acted as a witness, revealing the inner workings of the case.
Theses based on the results of a two-day interrogation:
– All three companies playing the main roles in the criminal case are supervised by Alexander Burkov, the governor of the Omsk region.
At the Zerno Sibir company, decisions were made by the Board of Directors, and important financial issues could not be resolved without them. A member of the Board of Directors was and remains Dmitry Ushakov, Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, a person who protects the interests of Alexander Burkov in the organization. The leader of Gifts of Siberia was replaced; the new person was affiliated with the then Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Ivan Trofimov, who acted in the interests of the head of the region. Finally, SibirAgroInvest or SAI.
– SAI was created as a joint business project of Burkov and Chetverikov, where Burkov was responsible for cooperation with all government agencies and patronage. It didn’t work out. However, the fact that the governor is trying to own his own business should attract attention. There are probably other examples in different areas.
– The actual head of the SAI is a figurehead, who is managed in the interests of the governor by Konstantin Komissovsky. Komissovsky himself reported information about this at another trial, which was transferred to the court of interest to us.
– Chetverikov had no influence on Komissovsky and SAI, as the prosecution claims.
Konstantin Komissovsky repeatedly visited the office of Grain of Siberia, where he positioned himself as a confidant of Governor Burkov. He acted as an intermediary between Chetverikov and Burkov on issues related to ZS and AIS. Chetverikov transferred all issues that should have been resolved through the governor to Komissovsky, who turned to Burkov.
– Chetverikov did not have any real grounds for influencing the leaders of Zerna Siberia, Gifts of Siberia or SibirAgroInvest.
These data completely neutralize the state prosecution; they show that the investigation did not take into account a whole layer of internal agreements, which, together with other shortcomings, requires the return of the case to the Investigative Committee.
